Rowing Coach & High-Performance Youth Educator
Sarah Gehrke is a high-performance rowing coach with extensive experience spanning youth, collegiate, international, and master’s programs. Known for her work in athlete development, she has guided crews to top finishes at major national regattas and international events.
U19 World Championships Coach (2019): Qualified and coached the U19 Men’s Double Sculls () to 10th place for the U.S. at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
U19 World Championships Coach (2024): Coached the U19 Women’s 4+ to a Bronze medal for the U.S. at the 2024 World Rowing Junior Championships in St. Catharine’s, Canada.
U19 World Championships Coach (2025): Coached the U19 Women’s 8+ to a Silver medal for the U.S. at the 2025 World Rowing Junior Championships in Trakai, Lithuania.
USRowing Olympic Development Program (ODP): Served as Lead Coach for the USRowing Women’s ODP High Performance Camp.
Coaching stops include (current) Saratoga Rowing Association, University of Southern California (USC), National Cathedral School, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis Rowing Club, Artemis Rowing, North Park University, and Indiana University.
National Regattas: Coached crews to medals and Grand Final appearances at the USRowing Youth National Championships, SRAA National Championships, and Stotesbury Cup Regatta.
Collegiate: Recruited Division I student-athlete for Indiana University (Bloomington).
Junior: Learned to row at the St. Louis Rowing Club.
